Dr. Nguyen Tuan Duong is a lecturer and researcher specializing in family business studies, human resource management, and entrepreneurship. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration from the Foreign Trade University in 2010 and completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the ISB Institute, under the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, in 2015.

In 2015, he was awarded the Taiwan Ministry of Education Scholarship (MOE Scholarship) to pursue postgraduate studies at National Sun Yat-sen University. There, he obtained a Master’s degree in International Business in 2017 and a Ph.D. in Business Management in 2023. He subsequently continued his postdoctoral research at the Center for Strategy and Human Capital Research of National Sun Yat-sen University.

Dr. Duong’s research focuses on family businesses, particularly human resource management in family firms, family firm heterogeneity, dynamic capabilities, succession, and the

internationalization of family businesses. He has participated in numerous international research projects on family businesses in Vietnam and across Asia and has regularly presented his work at leading academic conferences, including the Academy of Management, European Academy of Management, and International Family Enterprise Research Academy.

Currently, Dr. Duong serves at Hoa Sen University, where he is involved in teaching, research, and the development of academic activities in the fields of management and entrepreneurship. To date, he has published more than 30 research papers in reputable domestic and international academic journals and serves as a reviewer for several international scholarly journals. His research aims to enhance the competitiveness, adaptability, and sustainable development of family businesses in the global context.
